Some more of the Netherlands!

Day 92: Valkenburg and Maastricht!

This morning I woke up at 6 and got ready for a day of traveling, and a day of traveling it was. We (Jazmyn, Freddy, Jessica, and me) left Hugo at 7 to catch our train at 7:30 for a three hour train ride to Valkenburg! There we headed to the ruins of a castle and caves.

The Ruins in the center of town.

Up close and personal with the ruins.

The amazing view from the castle. HILLS!

What we think is Queen Wilhelmina's Tower.

Some more pics of the view.

I liked this photo I took in the cave. It gives you the feeling that I experienced and hints at the treasures found down there.
After we got done exploring the cave and ruins we tried to get into catacombs, but it was closed. So then we decided to head to Maastricht the third oldest city in the NL where we just wandered around taking pictures and had dinner.

Jess and her Cool American chips!
The City Square.

A cool picture of a church.

Mill!
In motion.

The surrounding wall.

The bridge we walked over and the city behind.

My pizza.
We ended up getting home at 10:30 pm and wanting to go to bed. So much for going to En Casa for the highlighter party with everyone else.
