Galway

Day 56: BooBah! What are they teaching kids now a days?

Well again today we slept in and it was amazing. We took the river walk to the Galway museum as it wasn't too bad of weather. The river we walked by is called the Corrib and is the fastest moving river in Europe. I have a video for you to see just how fast it is!

The River Corrib:

We got to the Gallway museum and looked around, it was mostly well history about the city of Galway, but the best part was the history lesson over the Battle of Somme and the unique recycled art. The battle of Somme is so interesting because it was the battle that I chose to do my presentation over in Modern European History and it helped us study and not feel so bad for procrastinating studying for our midterm.

A Black and White of the canal open.

The Spanish Arch.

A ton of movie posters. There was a whole wall dedicated to this in the history of film room.

I really like this picture of film.

"We are liberated" Clare Brewster.

Liberating the words in the book.

I thought this was fitting for traveling.

This is an interesting quote in regards to Globalization.

A machine gun used in WWII.

While in the museum it started raining so we decided that we wouldn't venture too far out and annexed going to salt hill to kick the wall. Instead we headed back for lunch where I had the worst soup of my life. BLAGH! Worse than Ramen noodles, and for all of you who know me understand just how much I really dislike Ramen....but we ended up going to the Merry Fiddler as it was our last night in Galway where I had bangers and mash and a pint of bulmer. After that we headed off to find dessert where we settled on sundaes from McDonalds. After dessert we headed back to the hostel and secured a nice side room where we played cards the rest of the night attempting Rumi and I kicked butt at Golf. For some reason we reminisced about being born in the 90's then started talking about how odd cartoons are now. This is when I was introduced to BEEBAH! There are not even words to discribe how ridiculous this show is. What ever happened to the good shows?
