So basically today was a day spent on the road. We woke up at the butt crack of dawn, literrally still dark outside when we left our hostel at 5:20 in the morning. We then road a train to Limmerick where we got on a bus and headed out to the Cliffs of Moher. We had heard rumors that they were in the Lord of The Rings movies, but we could be wrong. This doesn't say anything about just how extraordinary these cliffs are. I mean you get to walk almost right next to the edge that drops 200 ft to the sea. It is green as green can be. There were tons of birds, really missing the furry creatures that roam around Iowa, as it is a sanctuary for birds. I was sad we didn't get to see any Puffins as we were a little early to hit their migration, but we did get to interact with some crazy ravens. Again the best way to explain the Cliffs is with pictures.
Ravens, at least that is what I am going to call them. They had a crazy call that sounded like a dinosaur.
The Cliffs.
The Cliffs again.
Underexposed of the cliffs so you could see just how blue the sky was.
Black and whit of the cliffs.
Overexposed of the cliffs so you could see the detail in the rocks.
Dangerous Cliff Edge!
The castle on one of the cliffs.
This is what happens if you get too close!
I think that this is my favorite picture from the cliffs.
besides the black and white of it.
The road to the Cliffs.
Me and Brittany on the Bus.
The Irish Country side.
YUMMM!!!!!! Irish Stew!
Me champing it out! I ate all my stew, which was a lot and drank my whole pint!
