Day 51: Man do my feet kill me! Where's that baby to eat?
Well we woke up early to find out that our shower was
broken! Not so fun because all of us needed to shower after a day of running
after trains and to class. This put us a little behind, but we still made it to
our walking tour on time. On our way to the tour, that we thought we had missed
we met two Canadians, Oz and Jonathon. We ended up spending most of the day
with them, as they were quite the characters. Our tour was lead by an
Australian, Kyle, who was so enthusiastic about everything he kept us walking
for four hours. We pretty much saw the whole town and it was free so well worth
it. While on it Kyle convinced us to go on the pub-crawl. After the tour we
headed to the train station to get passes for the first couple of days of
traveling. Then we walked to the Guinness factory where Jaz and Freddy went on
the tour while Brittany and I headed off to find St. Patrick’s Cathedral, which
we never found. We instead found O’Shea’s a very nice restaurant. We had a
Dubliner, a sandwich with meat and onions. So good! Then we headed back to our
hostel and met up with Freddy and Jaz and headed out for the night. While on
the pub crawl I tried Bulmers, Sex on the Beach, Hoot Hoot, a shot that tasted
like mike and ikes, and a beer that tasted like skunk! The best part of the
night was when we heard Gallway Girl and O’ Neils. I wish I could say that was
the end of our night, but we went to two other places after that and really
didn’t have too much fun, but it was one heck of an experience.

| Kyle advertising the Free Tour! So glad we found this! |
 |
| Lady Justice. The funny thing about her scale was for the longest time when it snowed the scale would tip. The solution was to drill holes in to it so that the snow or rain would fall through. |
 |
| A viking toilet! I of course was standing in it! |
 |
| How the twenty vikings in tiny house would stay warm, Spooning! |
 |
| Johnny, the Canadian we met, standing by the O' Penny Bridge. It used to cost a penny to cross and used to sway from all the trafic, lucky for us it was reinforced and free. |
 |
| The Spire and a statute of some dude. Sorry I forgot who you were. This is one of the busiest streets in Dublin. |
 |
| Does the building kind of look familiar? Well it should! It is much like our White House, and I believe designed by the same person, but don't quote me on that! |
 |
| The end of our tour, Kyle talking about the potato famine. |
 |
| I love this picture of a random church we stumbled upon. Oh the reason why some pictures are in black and white is because that was our photography assignment. |
 |
| Here is my Dubliner! |
 |
| One really great Hostel. Highly recommend! |
 |
| My stamp from the pub crawl. Sorry we didn't bring our camera's with so they didn't get lost. No pictures from the night besides this one. |
